The Thule 987XT Hitch Ski Carrier lets you convert your Thule Trailblazer, Hitching Post, Expressway, Rak-N-Loc, and Spare Me bicycle carriers in to ski carriers. The Thule 987XT has a new extended bracket that allows for thicker ski bindings, and a rubber strap to secure your skis while loading. This ski carrier features a locking arm that secures your skis or snowboards in the carrier, and comes with locking cylinders that are One-Key System compatible for added security.

Rating: - Not bad - doesn't fit shaped skis
I just fitted this to my 998xt rack. It fits fairly well, and feels pretty secure. It's well made, and comes with all the accessories you'll need.

The downside is that it's impossible to get my shaped skis (Rossi Bandit B3s) into the rack the way they suggest (back to back). They do fit, but less securely, as individual skis. This reduces the capacity to 3 pairs of skis, and not 6.
