Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The Good Grips Swivel Peeler is a great way to peel your vegetables. Its sharp stainless steel blade glides through even the toughest fruit and vegetable skins. The soft, comfortable handle cushions your hand as you peel, and is non-slip, even when your hands are wet.

Amazon.com Review:
Whether peeling a Granny Smith apple or a fruit with an even tougher skin, the swivel peeler by Oxo is an essential tool in any kitchen. Its flexible, rotating stainless-steel blades make peeling simple by contouring to almost any surface shape. The built-in potato eye remover is durable and can easily carve out blemishes without digging.

The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip, flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably and softly, the pressure-absorbing processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands while still providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material as dishwasher gaskets, the handles are slip-proof--wet or dry--as well as dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful peeler
This is a wonderful peeler. I finally had to replace my old Ecko stainless steel peeler which I had used for over 30 years and I still have. However, I needed a more ergonomic type of handle. I tried other peelers with comfort-grip type handles, but they were never sharp enough to do the job quickly. I've been using this peeler for at least 3 or 4 years and it still works great. You can't go wrong with this tool.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I love this and use it regularly
Its great blade and handle makes for fast peeling jobs. Only thing would be: I wish the peels didn't hang on to the end once peeled off.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - serious defect
It works well and the handle is comfortable. Unfortunately the handle fills with dirty dishwater in sink or machine. The water is hard to get out and when I take the handle apart to drain it, it is difficult to clean inside. Since I use a peeler often for raw foods (apples, carrots) I worry about infectious contamination of food from this non-hygienic tool.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Peeler Ever
I used an old metal vegetable peeler I bought at a garage sale twenty years ago until it broke. My family had bought several replacements over the years and nothing did even close to as good a job until this oxo. It's comfortable to hold, very sharp and just as fast as my old one. Using the round eye remover takes some practice but once you get it, it works great. It's dishwasher safe, so no more oven drying like my old one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Silly me!
For years I thought that the veggie peelers I purchased time and again at the dollar stores were good enough. After all, a peeler just peels stuff -- so who cares.

After trying this at a friend's house while making some soup, I learned the error of my ways. I'll never use one of those cheap things again!

This is so comfortable to handle and work with, it made a job that I considered the worst part of the process the easiest! (Why didn't anybody tell me that peeling potatos ... Read More
