- Piece of Plastic - Should be no stars - has one because Amazon required itThis product was a VERY BIG DIAPPOINTMnet. For a listing price of almost $100 I expected it to come with a built in, adjustable light source that could be controled. It did not. It is just a grooved black plastic tube with a plastic silde holder (that sticks) and a cheap opaque light filter. Total worth maybe $12.95.

- Opteka HD Slide CopierThis product was purchased from 47th Street. It performed as detailed. The clarity of the picture became an issue with my Canon S5IS but only on occasion. More operator error than the product. I processed approx. 500 slides. They recommend a tripod. I concur as it makes the job somewhat easier. I now have them all digitized and am pleased with this product.

I tried copying several slides from my vast collection. I could not get one copy that was properly focused or clear in any way. I even read the instructions. I am an experienced advanced amateur photographer & an IT professional. I returned the product to 47th ST Photo for a refund. I did get screwed for shipping and an outrageous 15% restocking fee. - Great Product...Easy to UseAlthough it is tedious to put each individual slide in the copier, it takes great pics, and is a great, cheap way to push them out to MS-Movie to make a professional slide show that can be copied to a DVD.

- EXCELLENT PURCHASE!I received this slide copier in perfect conditions and with all possible adapters for my camera. The only drawback was that they send the 58 mm S2/S3 converter and not the 52 mm one, that would save them -at least- one converter, as the copier is 52 mm.
Otherwise, an excellent experience!
