The 23-gauge pin nailer kit from Bostitch is ready to upgrade your woodworking operation with its hefty pin capacity. This tough model holds fasteners from 1/2-inch to 1-3/16-inch, which is a generous 19 percent increase over competitive models. Specially designed to minimize downtime, the HP118K's side-loading magazine adjusts to different fastener sizes automatically and houses up to 200 pins at a time; and the low-profile tip tapers down to the contact point for a clear line of sight from any angle.
The HP118K is packed with helpful convenience and performance features, including an integrated high/low power control for precise depth setting without changing your compressor settings. It also boasts a dual trigger for safe operation, 60 in./lbs. of power, a rear exhaust, and an overmolded grip for maximum comfort. - Great DealI received this pin nailer as a birthday gift and have used it mostly for nailing very small pieces together for children's toys. I am very impressed with the ease of use and smooth handling. I had read other reviews about it not fully seating the pins but never found this to be the case. I drove 1" pins into red oak and they went fully below the surface. When set to the lighter setting they did protrude but that was expected.

Very usefull for cabinet making ans small on the spot repairs.
Execution of the nailer is very good and hopefully the make=quality.

- Problem with the first one shippedThe first nailer shipped to me had an air leak and had to be returned. The replacement was received with no problems. The second one worked just fine and came with good instruction and an assortment of pin sizes. I would have given it five stars except for the problems with the first unit.

1 so as not to split wood with a larger 18ga brad.
2 for a less noticable hole.
The short comings of this pinner is its lack of power in the depth drive.
It only barley sets the pin. which makes it tough to fill. I've often had to get out a nail set because its flush with the surface, which makes an even larger hole.
