Editorial Review:
Amazon.com Product Description:
Low glare lighting for garden landscaping or to outline a walk or steps, the Malibu LX58720P low voltage lighting kit is a great DIY project. The kit includes 14 tier lights and 6 Zoom Floodlights, which can be changed to spot lights with a turn of the wrist. The fixtures can be arranged in any pattern along the 100 feet of cable included with the kit. Each 12-volt 4-watt fixture is attached to the cable with a quick clamp system, which also allows for additional fixtures to be added as needed. Power is supplied by an 80-watt Photo Control power pack that plugs into any standard grounded household outlet. --C. Dwight Barnett

- Great!Brightness is great (brighter and more of a pleasant color) than LED lights. Easy to install (although the directions definitely leave you to figure out a few things on your own... in some places, the directions were plain wrong in their diagrams of the product).
The lights are plastic which has it's advantages and disadvantages: they will never rust or loose color, but they do feel a little flimsy (make sure to place the lights in places where they won't be hit by people walking ... Read More

- Not as bad as anticipated!First of all we love Amazon.com. These lights came in 2 days! My husband and I put them together; no missing parts and everything went together like it was supposed to. The only thing that wasn't quite clear was that the transformer has to be 10 feet away from the first light. We also spliced into the wire which was okay too. The lights are so nice across the front of our house (on both sides) and they automatically come on and off every night. Neighbors commented how nice they look. Little spotlights ... Read More

- good for backyardjust a quick review: the lights were easy to assemble, but because it's so many, it took about an hour. None of the plastic parts were broken or in bad quality unlike for some other reviewers.
With 100feet the cable is actually pretty long, but the first light has to be at least 13ft away from the transformer, so keep this in mind when thinking about the layout.
Also, everything is plastic, so it's not as nice looking as other metal lights, but serves its purpose for the backyard. ... Read More

- Incredible ValueMy only complaint could be too many lights? I didn't use them all. This set is great, effective as landscape or security lighting. Simple to use with a fool proof on/off timer. Very economical. Nice weather proof design. A bargain!

- Good product, good price, one minor "gotcha"...These lights work great and are a great price. However, with this many lights, it really should come with a higher voltage power pack and more cable. To keep the lights spread out at a decent distance from each other, I wound up adding an additional 100 feet of cable. After adding that, they were too dim. So I had to purchase a second power pack and split the load up. Of course, I was using them as a lawn perimeter. I suppose if you were placing them as just pathway lights, having each light only a few ... Read More
