Best blender ever. It is like the shuttle taking off and these blades handle just about anything. I bought a backup blade but I hope I never have to use it. So far so good.

I really hoped that this blade and ring would help me solve the leak problem w/my extremely old blender. I really only needed the ring to stop the leaking, but figured that since my blender is so old, that it would be a great idea to go ahead and get the blade that came with the ring. Rating: - Works great; same as the old one
This blade is, as far as I can tell, exactly like the old one I replaced, which lasted me 20 years. It works well, and the gasket fits better than the one I had. It was just what I needed, and it's nice to be able to buy just the part you need instead of a whole new blender.

Since most reviews here may leave a person wondering, hopefully this one will help.

This blade does what it is supposed to do, in that if you put ice cubes that are not too big (I use cubes from the ice maker in the refrigerator), then this thing will crush the ice very well. I don't need to add any water to make this happen. However, if you are looking to be able to make a larger size of crushed ice, then this may not work.
