Mrs. Huck was calling with anticipated, but unwelcome news of her husband's passing the night before. Larry Huck, known to most as Mr. Huck, died late on the evening of Jan. 20 at the age of 80. Among my first spoken words was "Ollie," learned from Mom, who would say Dad's name at the side of my crib. Until my teens, I called Dad "Ollie," and even some of the neighborhood kids did, too. He didn't mind, but one might think he would have. Read comments
