Selma First Baptist Church is a church with a call "to help make disciples of Jesus Christ" who love God and love others in our community, region, and world. 

Founded in 1885 this church has been a witness for the light of Jesus Christ throughout Selma and the surrounding communities over the years.  The church's architecture reflects our desire to worship God and hear his Word.  It's elegance and beauty are meant to draw us into His presence.  Yet the heart of our ministry is the relationships we built when we are in His presence. 

Our two services, the 8:30 contemporary and the 11:00 traditional, are designed to help people from difference generations come and find the presence of the Lord.  Our classes and small groups are designed to help people find meaningful relationships and grow deeper in the Lord. With pastoral staff for both children and youth, we have seek to develop a fun, meaningful program which will meet the needs of busy families.  We also have a Senior Adult  Program which includes trips, fun activities, and Bible studies.  With all our ministries we strive to help people grow close to God, learn more about God, have opportunities to serve God, worship God and witness for God so that they might reflect our ultimate purpose as human beings we might glorify Him and honor Him through all eternity.
